A distinguished and high-achieving Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group in Totnes, Devon, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead ICT Teacher to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ICT department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement innovative ICT curriculum tailored to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Integrate technology into all aspects of teaching and learning to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Provide professional development and support to teaching staff in the use of ICT.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in ICT or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching ICT, preferably within an SEN environment.
  • Strong understanding of SEN educational practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading a team.
  • Proficient in the use of ICT tools and software, with a passion for integrating technology into education.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational technology trends.
