Location: Leicester
Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Primary Industry: Manufacturing and Production
Job Duties:
Setting up and operating laser cutting machines
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Adjusting machine settings to ensure accurate cutting of materials
Monitoring machine operation and conducting quality checks
Performing routine maintenance on equipment
Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Laser Setter Operator or similar role
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education:
GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English
Relevant vocational training or certification in laser cutting operations
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating laser cutting machines
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of laser cutting technology and equipment
Ability to troubleshoot machine issues
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional vocational training or certification in laser cutting operations
Experience with specific laser cutting software
Working Conditions:
The role of a Laser Setter Operator involves working in a manufacturing environment. It may require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and exposure to loud noises and machinery. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
