Job Title: Key Stage 1 Teacher

Location: Poole

Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS)

Start Date: September 2024

GSL Education are currently partnering with a small, supportive primary school based in Poole, in the pursuit of Key Stage 1 Teacher. About the Role:

The school caters to students who have been excluded from mainstream education, who can be emotionally vulnerable. The school prides itself on not only supporting with their education, but holistic development, so students are confident about their role in society after leaving school. Therefore, any teachers with prior experience with SEN are extremely desirable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/master’s degree
• Teaching Certification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE)
• In-depth knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies
• Previous experience in a primary SEN school is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for education
• Ability to craft engaging and inclusive lesson plans

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning atmosphere
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks
