An exciting opportunity has arisen in Cheltenham, Hays has partnered with a leading and growing legal business. We are now looking for a junior finance professional with purchase ledger or finance related experience to join our clients’ busy Finance team, for an exciting role as a Junior Accounts Assistant.
You will mainly support with purchase ledger duties and dealing with any potential queries, as required.
The role will be Monday to Friday for hours a week working from 9am to 5:30pm and is fully onsite.
Your new role
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties will be as follows:
To process in and out receipts and payments
Getting involved in supplier reconciliation and payments
You will also get involved in bank account reconciliation
Resolve potential issues and liaise with suppliers to deal with payment queries
You will liaise with the bank to deal with general queries
Supporting with ad hoc tasks as required
Assist the Head of Accounts as necessary
What you'll need to succeed
Previous purchase ledger experience or finance experience would be essential for this position
To be either AAT qualified or qualified with experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel would also be beneficial
Previous experience using Accounting software such as, Sage would be transferable and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and cope with volume
