We have over 150 branches across England and Wales as well as our Support Office in Alcester, Warwickshire. We’re now looking for an IT Trainer to join our team UK wide.

The role of IT Trainer encompasses the business need to deliver remote classroom training, UK wide for up to four days per week, with up to 2-3 overnight stays per week.  Alongside the face to face classroom training, there will also be a need to create and manage online course content for delivery through our Learning Management System.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver face to face classroom-based training on both software and hardware at remote UK sites.
  • Developing and creating new and existing training material.
  • Conducting assessments throughout delivery to ensure training is effective.
  • Delivering training in a professional manner with a focus on overall experience for the candidate – to include the experience from training invitation to post training assessment and feedback.
  • Managing, planning, maintaining and developing the locations where you will be delivering training – maintaining local site relationships to support professional experience for attendees.
  • Representing the organisation to articulate company methodology, culture and technology solutions to our teams and all levels of management in a positive and professional manner.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have…

  • Self-awareness and ability to adapt training delivery style to suit the audience and in some cases, the individual learning style.
  • Recognising the various learning styles that individuals tend to fall into, and then flexing the delivery of training to account for variances.
  • Self-motivation and enthusiastic team players representing the technology function positively while ensuring that the company values are also shared at every opportunity.
  • Organisational skill and be able to lead by example, ensuring that the overall training experience is not overlooked.
  • Positive outlook with a desire to teach and enjoy developing people so they can succeed in their role.
  • High level of attention to detail in presentation, written work and record keeping.
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities while also being ‘on-the-road’ / working from remote sites.

Experience:

  • Excellent communication, team working, interpersonal skills with a positive focused attitude
  • Designing, creating and editing engaging eLearning, using various tools.
  • Experience of multi-tasking, prioritising and delivering in a highly pressured remote environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • eLearning authoring skills (e.g. Adobe Captivate)
  • Willingness to further develop IT knowledge and training skills.

Working Location:

Based working at remote UK wide locations with approximately one day per week working from home.  There will be an expectation to work from at our Support Office in Alcester one to two times per month with company expense policy reimbursement/accommodation.
