IT Support Apprentice – Level 3
One of the top support providers in and around London is looking for a driven, enthusiastic, and passionate individual to join their young team. Their reputation for excellence has been earned by working with some of the best-known names in the business such as: ASOS, Bank of England, Estee Lauder, Liberty, The Met Police, Imperial War Museum and Paperchase to name but a few.
The role:
Possible start date: ASAP
Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5:45pm
Total working hours: 40
What you will do in your working day:
Log support calls that come through via phone or e-mail
Work with Help Desk team to handle day to day requests
Provide 1st Line support to existing client base
Escalate calls where necessary
Use TeamViewer for remote access to clients
Support a varied client base inc. total Mac environments, PC or mixed
Use a wide range of tools to test/troubleshoot and analyse problems
Desktop and laptop set ups inc. cabling and general connectivity
Troubleshoot and analyse a wide variety of issues across a wide variety of software/hardware and office environments
Installing and configuring equipment, RAM upgrades
Learn to carry out on site ‘Health Checks’ at existing client sites and shadow on site engineer to ‘on board new customers
The training you will receive:
Level 3 ICT qualification
All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes
Functional skills in English & maths if required
Future prospects:

Qualifications required:
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A* – C 9/4) – Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A* – C 9/4) – Essential
Skills required:
IT hobbyist
Has to demonstrate a real passion for IT
Enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude
Some technical knowledge would be very advantageous
Good communication skills (ideally both verbal and written)
Willingness to learn
GCSE or Equivalent in both English and Maths at Grade 4+ Essential
Some previous work experience (w/e or holiday) would be a real benefit
