International Junior Merchandiser

About The Role

We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join us at Hobbs – this is a commercial role focused on every part of the international merchandising function.

Working at pace with a strong bias towards action and delivery is key in this role: as the Junior Merchandiser you will focus on planning, stock management and the profiling of our international tores across all markets and regions. We have a broad bricks and mortar portfolio so you will swiftly become a brand expert across our concessions and standalone stores, reacting swiftly to ensure our Hobbs customer can find the best product mix in the right place, at the right time.

Key accountabilities for the role include:

Assisting the Branch Merchandiser on store allocation plans each season for our ranges and product, planning Outlet special buys each season

Thinking strategically to proactively manage and challenge the allocation, assortment and availability of our ranges and product

Regularly review stock levels of stores and suggest methods of controlling cover whilst proposing ways to potentialise stores

Update on replenishment levels and assist with the commercial decision making process with support from the Branch Merchandiser and Head of UK and International

Attending weekly Trade Meetings and presenting updates on Trade, analysing seasonal performance for use as a base for strategic planning

Partnering closely with our bricks and mortar stores, liaising regularly with Regional and Country Mangers alongside the Branch Merchandiser to build relationships and gain feedback to make informed decisions.

This is an all-encompassing role which will see you build a strong rapport with our Regional and Country Managers, carrying out ad hoc store visits when needed as well as managing the stock allocation and replenishment process.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who possesses exceptional Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot tables) with the proven ability to analyse vast amounts of numerical data with success. We would need to you demonstrate a highly analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure as a resourceful communicator. Experience gained at Assistant Merchandiser level would be highly beneficial as would global and online exposure within a merchandising role. A growth mindset and a collaborative nature is key for success in this role.
