Interim Litigation Solicitor, Public Sector – Edinburgh

This is a unique, temporary role for a Litigation Solicitor, for an interim period of 10-12 months with this public sector organisation based in Edinburgh. This post provides a diverse range of litigation work including legal issues covering cases in a variety of tribunals and courts, including the Supreme Court, allowing team members to have a well-rounded overall litigation experience.

Your key duties will include:

Supervising the conduct of cases at First Tier and Upper Tribunals, the Court of Session and Supreme Court, both as appellant and respondent.

Liaison with a wide variety of HMRC stakeholders and the establishment and maintenance of good client relations with them.

Supporting the branch head and Divisional solicitor in the objectives for the Division.

The organisation is open to PQE level of candidates, but it is essential for candidates to have general litigation experience. Tax litigation experience would be an advantage.
