A Business Analyst is required for a client in the midlands paying £ a day Inside of IR35 6 months with hybrid working offered, 2 days onsite.

You will need to have a strong Business Analyst background from the Public Sector, with Local Government particularly of interest, and be able to start in the next 2 weeks or so.

The role of the Business Analyst is:

  • Play an active role in the business analysis community; alongside the lead business analyst set development standards and behavioural expectations for business analysts; work with other disciplines for mutual development.
  • Work across complex business areas and multidisciplinary product teams to analyse and articulate user needs. Create research and analysis plans to help gather evidence to guide decision-making in nuanced areas where simple answers are not possible; build and execute backlogs of work; use data to ensure services are accessible, intuitive, and simple.
  • Engage with service areas across the organisation to help them understand agile ways of working as well as the business analyst’s skill set, and to help them articulate the possibilities in their area for digital transformation.
  • Measure value and use qualitative and quantitative data to inform product development decisions. Translate the vision into prioritised, deliverable user stories backed up by evidence. Take considered, data-driven decisions and have the humility to learn from mistakes. Track and monitor product performance and user outcomes to iterate and improve on features.
  • Look right across the organisation to find common points in what our residents need from us and find opportunities to gather data to understand the problem more deeply. Work seamlessly across channels to make sure that assisted digital needs are well catered for and journeys are smooth. Engage in meaningful interactions and relationships with users.
  • Use agile methodology and apply an agile mindset to all aspects of your work. Create a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery. Create processes, scenarios and maps to help test new and redesigned services throughout their lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of modern technology and data platforms, including the range of available technology choices. Make informed decisions based on evidenced user needs and value for money.
  • Be a role model for organisational values and lead by example to help transform the culture of the organisation; fostering a high trust, empowered and inclusive environment where teams and individuals thrive and perform at their best.
  • Experience required includes:

  • Extensive knowledge of the business analysis profession and skills and how to apply it.
  • Knowledge of product thinking and the product development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of product methodology, frameworks, and principles including how to define a vision, create a strategy, set objectives, define measurable outcomes and metrics, create, and iterate a roadmap.
  • Significant knowledge of user-centred design and service design.
  • Significant knowledge of agile ways of working and software development practices.
  • Knowledge of data and evidence-driven decision making.
  • Extensive knowledge of experimentation and analytics techniques.
