Full Time Host - 12- 9 shifts, will include Friday and Saturday
Role Summary
The Host is the first and last point of contact for our members and guests when they arrive to and depart from our restaurant. You must be naturally warm, friendly and engaging, seeking to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities & Key Duties
Greet guests with warmth and maintain a pleasant demeanor, using their names whenever possible.
Be proficient in using all systems including Seven Rooms/Open Table/Simphony
Manage and optimize the reservations list, ensuring all reservations are handled correctly
Manage seating plans and monitor table rotation, liaising with the Manager on duty
Update daily all guests' history (i.e. guests' likes and dislikes, table preferences).
Have a good knowledge of the menu and steps of service.
Be fully conversant with the table lay-up and mise-en-place prior to, during and after service.
Inform Management of all guest comments and requirements that cannot be resolved immediately.
To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
To attend training and meetings as required.
Comply with all statutory and company health and safety, fire, bomb and security regulations as well as liquor and licensing laws
Other Duties
Stay informed and knowledgeable about activities within The Conduit.
Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to The Conduit grooming standards.
Maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.
Actively champions and promotes The Conduit Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy
Supports and contributes to the overall success of The Conduit
Alongside your key duties you may be asked to complete other tasks as and when necessary and reasonably required in line with business needs.

Skills & Experience
Previous experience hosting at a restaurant is desirable
Knowledge of all Seven Rooms & Open Table
Knowledge of Symphony POS
Excellent organizational skills.
