Hospital Porter - Maintenance (Bank)
Hereford Hospital | Maintenance | Bank contract- Ad hoc
£12.01 per hour
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
In this varied and physical role as a Hospital Maintenance Porter you will provide general assistance and support within the hospital. As a Hospital Maintenance Porter, you will;
Collect the post daily
Complete minor maintenance work around the hospital for example: decorating, moving furniture etc
Carry out waste and pathology collections
Collect and return patients notes from various external locations
Provide general upkeep of the external grounds of the hospital such as clearing up litter
Working in a fast moving environment, with constant interaction with all areas of the hospital.
Directly support the Ward in the transfer of patients to and from theatre
To succeed as a Hospital Maintenance Porter, you will;
Be comfortable with a physical role which may involves pushing beds and lifting heavy equipment.
Be a good communicator as the role involves interaction with all areas of the hospital.
Experience of working in a customer service / customer facing environment.
Good written and verbal skills.
Hold a valid driving licence.
Comply with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks if successful
