Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Torbay
Contract: Full time and part time hours available
Salary: Starting at £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Long-term Teachers works closely with a brilliant all through specialist school, providing high quality education to learners with a range of complex learning difficulties and disabilities. Despite being based across three sites, our school is a close-knit community, where everyone comes together to ensure they allow all students to learn and succeed.
About you:
The school requires someone who is fully invested in and shares their vision of allowing all students to learn and thrive. You will have the opportunity to work across all sites, so if you’re adaptable and willing to get ‘stuck in’, we would love to hear from you! No matter what level you teach, you must be confident in leading classes and managing behaviour. Due to the nature of the school sites, you must be able to drive and have access to your own car.
About the role:
- Delivering whole class cover during the absence of the class teacher or during PPA cover
- Support the teacher in personalising the curriculum to allow the students to thrive
- Support the teacher with planning of future lessons
- Implement the schools policies and procedures, including safeguarding the students
- Establish and maintain and enjoyable and safe learning environment
- Engage students in their lessons and foster a love for learning
Working with Long-term Teachers:
