Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic HGV Driver to join our team working from Bonnington Quarry and West Calder. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. With a focus on delivering our products throughout South Scotland, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you're well-prepared to meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver concrete, asphalt, and aggregates safely and efficiently.
Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and external customers.
Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritizing the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A valid Class C License and a current Driver CPC.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A hard-working and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends.
A genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
