HGV Class 2 Driver

PERMANENT ROLE – SUNDAY TO THURSDAY – £35,100.00 PER ANNUM

Wincanton is offering the opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our delivery team out of our Portbury site in Bristol.

£35,100.00 per annum

£14.06 - basic hourly rate

Start time - 15:00

48 hours per week

Sunday to Thursday

Working as a 2-man delivery team

£18.75 - overtime rate for hours worked over 48

31 days annual leave holiday   excluding bank holidays

This is a manual job with some heavy lifting.

How will you contribute?

Between 4 to 7 deliveries drops per day on average.

Safely driving a Class 2 Vehicle, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation.

Delivering to our New Look retail stores across the South West and South Wales including unloading the vehicle at delivery points.

Collecting and logging returns.

Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies.

Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects.

Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured.

What will you bring?

Must have valid in date Class 2 licence

Must have valid in date CPC

Must hold Digital tachograph card

Must have minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience

Must not have more than 6 points on licence

Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills

Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised

Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service

Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work

Must have a good geographical knowledge
