ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to be based in their London office for a large up-and-coming residential project.
Your duties as the HSEQ Manager shall include:
Be a Champion for Procore, promote all core tools on Procore with the Site Teams
Carry out all Audits on Procore
Advise site management on Health & Safety (Rules & Regulations)
Conduct Safety Audits on Elliott Group sites as deemed necessary by the company, generally two per month depending on the site performance this could increase
Review sub-contractor RAMS & carry out RAMS as required
Up-date UK Safety Policies as required
Up-date all procedures/documentation regarding COVID-19 and communicate with Staff and sub-contractors. Ensure Sites/Offices have the relevant signage and equipment as required
Hold regular site safety meetings with all sub-contractors on site
Ensure sub-contractor work activities are coordinated to ensure the safety of all persons on site
Review subcontractor safety documentation
Ensure Health and Safety Prequalification Questionnaire is carried out at appointment stage
Monitor all health and safety activities on the project and report the findings to the Site Team, UK HSEQ Manager and Directors via Procore.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety rules, regulations and procedures and stop any operation in the case of dangerous circumstances until immediate remedial action has been taken
Identify, reduce and maintain register of relevant legislative, regulatory and other policy requirements acceptable to the company
To assist the Site Teams with the maintenance of the safety management system
Take the Lead on Considerate Constructor Initiatives and Audits.
Assist and coordinate all Considerate Constructor activities, including registration of Projects
Coordinate Certification to CHAS, Safe Contractor, British Safety Council, construction line and any relevant registered bodies
Promote Elliott Group in terms of Health and Safety Awards
Coordinate the Online Induction System, ensure new sites are created and regular updates must be made as the Projects progress
Prepare monthly HS&E statistics in the form of a Procore dashboard to be included in the Monthly Client report for each project
Prepare a quarterly HS&E dashboard statistic across the region for directors meetings
ISO Requirements:
Champion the ISO Standards across the Projects
Take the Lead for all ISO Internal and External Audits in the UK region
Close out all issues raised during the Internal and External Audits in the region on Procore
Comply with Elliott’s ISO HSEQ Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your department process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required
Understand and apply our HSEQ policies in all aspects of your work
Contribute towards achieving Elliott Group company objectives and our department’s KPI’s
Ensure that the needs and requirements of Elliott Group’s internal departments and customers are understood and delivered
Help develop and improve our internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates will ideally have the following experience:
A minimum of 6 years experience
Main Contractor experience
Experience of managing multiple projects at one time
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
£65,000 – £75,000 + Travel, Healthcare & Pension.
