Job Details

Help a positive workforce have that lightbulb moment about H&S in this excellent H&SE Lead role.

Chances are, being in SHE, you have others wellbeing as something that you care about. But how do you find a business that shares this sentiment?

One that actively seeks change is a good starting place. The business is moving from an environment of traditional manufacturing to a much more modern approach supported by a large parent company. But equally it has the feeling of a smaller business and the flexibility that brings for you to impart your view of best practise into the organisation. It is a bit like goldilocks porridge, this sits nicely in the middle.

You will play a critical role in setting the Health & Safety strategy. But equally importantly, how you do that and implement it is up to you (in fact crucially, this business is keen for you to come with ideas of how to do this). You will have a commercially strong business which means you can concentrate on doing what you do best, making H&S a culture rather than a department.

You will ideally have your H&S NEBOSH diploma or equivalent. However, most important is your ability to engage and influence the factory teams to put H&S on the map and help the staff have that lightbulb moment that their health is everyone’s priority and not just a departments. FMCG manufacturing experience is ideal, but any manufacturing/logistics background will be considered should you be able to demonstrate the above.
