A highly reputable and large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Health and Social Care to join the permanent staff at one of their esteemed schools located in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to take on a pivotal leadership role within a vibrant and supportive community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Health and Social Care education to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. They will be expected to design engaging lessons, assess student progress, and support the holistic development of each pupil. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participating in school activities and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding Health and Social Care lessons to students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote best practices.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at secondary or post-16 level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Health and Social Care curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A proactive approach to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Additional qualifications or training in related areas.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or school initiatives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
