Health and Safety Manager
An experienced Health and Safety Manager is needed to join a leading property restoration specialist company based in Park Royal, London. This diverse role ensures the continued support, coordination, and input into the health and safety requirements for a wide variety of projects, providing hands-on support on site. This role requires writing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for numerous activities.
Over the last decade, our client, Thomann-Hanry has grown significantly and continues to expand its portfolio of works requiring a dedicated team and resource to enable the company to deliver the best possible service to all clients. Thomann-Hanry undertakes works to restore some of the most important and historic buildings in London such as the ‘National Gallery' and the ‘Bank of England'.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for continuously reviewing and updating risk assessments, safe operating procedures, and safety statements, as well as screening project sites for potential risks before work commences. Regular inspections of active project sites ensure ongoing compliance with safety protocols, and you will liaise with external parties such as government inspectors to evaluate processes. You will identify areas of risk and develop measures to mitigate them, collaborating with senior management to create emergency procedures and promptly reporting any incidents. Maintaining thorough safety-related documentation and conducting employee training sessions on safe work practices are key components of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage relationships with clients, stay informed on legal regulations, and oversee the implementation of ISO standards, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in health and safety management.
To qualify, you should be an experienced Health and Safety Manager with construction experience who can demonstrate the following:
Ability to work well under pressure in a methodical and organised manner.
High level organisational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise workload to meet fixed deadlines.
