£28,000 - £35,000 + benefits

We have partnered with a global leading manufacturing organisation, who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Coordinator at their site in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. This role presents an ideal opportunity for individuals aspiring to embark on a career in safety, as well as those possessing 1-2 years of HSE experience seeking a new challenge. Additionally, this role would be ideal for candidates with a background in operational roles within the manufacturing sector who are eager to transition into a full-time Health and Safety position.

The Health and Safety Coordinator needs to be someone who has a can-do attitude and is keen on building relationships at all levels. You will report in the HSE Manager and play a pivotal role in developing systems and shaping the safety culture. You will work closely with various departments to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them. A great opportunity to join a business who can offer fantastic personal and career development.

The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Support and guide on various site Health and Safety matters
  • Document control
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the site, promoting the development of a positive culture and best practice
  • Act as the sites focal point for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, supporting all internal and external auditing, and closing any raised non-conformances.
  • Conducting inspections, investigations, and maintaining accurate records.


    • The Health and Safety Coordinator Candidate will have:

  • Nebosh General or working towards
  • Experience of working within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
  • Previous EHS experience is advantageous
  • Communication skills, Drive, personality and resilience are key to this role
  • IT Literate is very important
