What you will be doing

  • Working to minimise VAT leakage across the group.
  • Working with our external advisors to ensure the group structure is the most efficient and fit-for-purpose for both current and future operating models.
  • Assisting external accountants with Corporation Tax returns and all necessary supporting calculations and documentation

  • Ensuring timely payment of all taxation liabilities, both UK and overseas
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reflection of tax positions in financial statements and disclosures.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on tax strategy, compliance status, and potential tax planning opportunities.
  • Ensure that efficient processes are in place to ensure tax compliance and that all reporting to HMRC is accurate and timely
  • Provide support to HR on our global mobility and tax liabilities, whilst recommending improvement to reduce our exposure

What you will have

  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CTA)
  • 8 years+ of Tax experience
  • Experience of working in an international Tax environment
  • Likely to have experience from the advisory side
  • Prior experience of a multi-site business model would be an advantage
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
  • Proven track record in tax compliance, planning, and risk management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-experts
  • Meaningful and demonstrated history of operational efficiency and optimisation
  • Exceptional project manager with extraordinary organization skills

What we offer

  • Start-up and entrepreneurial environment in a company that is part of a larger, well-funded firm, that has long-term ambition to contribute to global decarbonization
  • Opportunity to define your workplace. We are starting out and every idea counts!
  • A job that is part of making our world a greener place
  • International team that benefits from our different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences
  • We are high-performing and ambitious individuals who also enjoy our private lives. We hope you can identify with that
  • We believe in the benefit of flexible working hours and location and appreciate that we see one another in person regularly
  • We are not afraid to admit that we don’t know things but also proactively look to solve problems and work collaboratively
