Tohelp deliver against our ambitious plans Willmott Dixon is lookingto recruit a Head of Sustainability Strategy & Insight for12 months. The role is based in our Head Office in Letchworth withhybrid agile working arrangementssupported.
Thisexciting role leads the delivery of environmental sustainabilityambitions including to be a zerocarbon company without offsettingand to generate zero avoidable waste by 2030. The role will alsolead on the company s sustainability performance and compliancereporting (such as TCFD and CDP).
Youwill report to the National Head of Sustainability and join ourSenior Leadership Team. Leading a multidisciplinary team ofsustainability professionals and working closely with our Head ofSustainability Operations you will partner with both ourConstruction and Interiors businesses to deliver against Now orNever engage customers and enthuse ourpeople.
Youwill be a selfstarter and experienced team leader who loves achallenge is excited by data and is able to work agilely in anempowered environment that values innovative thinking. You will betenacious and be able to think strategically but be equallycomfortable with the detail of defining and delivering tacticalsolutions. Strong communication and relationship management skillsare essential coupled with an ability to influence and deliverthroughothers.
YourResponsibilities
- Leadand manage a highly motivated team of sustainabilityprofessionals.
- Collaboratewith others in the sustainability team as well as senior leadersand project teams across functions and operational businesses toaccelerate delivery of company targets policies and customerrequirements.
- Leadon sustainability performance reporting improvement andverification.
- Identifydevelop and implement carbon emissions as well as waste and waterreduction initiatives inline with companytargets.
- Identifydevelop and implement initiatives to support company and customertargets on Biodiversity and Environmental NetGain.
- Providetechnical expertise and leadership across a range of sustainabilitytopics with customers framework partners supply chain partners andinternal teams (including carbon waste resource efficiencybiodiversity).
- Carryout research and development identify opportunities encourageinnovation and improve transferability to increase efficiency andworkwinning.
