£180, £200 per day

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Science to lead our Science department and drive excellence in science education. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for science, a commitment to student success, and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and faculty members.

Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Science department, aligning with the school's mission and educational goals.

Lead curriculum development and implementation efforts to ensure that science programs are rigorous, engaging, and aligned with academic standards.

Mentor, support, and evaluate science faculty members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.

Oversee the effective delivery of science instruction, utilizing innovative teaching methodologies, resources, and technology tools.

Monitor student progress and achievement in science, implementing interventions and support strategies as needed to promote student success.

Collaborate with other departments and school leadership to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate science with other subject areas.

Stay abreast of current trends, developments, and best practices in science education through professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.

Teaching certification or licensure in Science or Secondary Education (if applicable).

Significant experience teaching science at the secondary level, with a proven track record of success.

Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a school or educational institution.

Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, and assessment strategies in science education.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

A passion for science and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
