Head of School – Land based and Equine 

Moulton 

Full time hours (37.5hrs per week) 

£46,120.00 – £51,139.00 per annum

  • The role;
    The Head of School will report to the Director of Curriculum, providing inspirational leadership to curriculum area teams. You will be responsible for providing an outstanding student experience through high quality teaching, learning and assessment while ensuring the provision of first class student resources. Through effective leadership and management of your curriculum area and teaching teams the Head of School will ensure students are able to achieve their potential.

    The head of school will effectively manage the Farm enterprise through the Farm Foreman and ensure there is a strong link between the curriculum and this area to enhance student experience and ensure there is a strong link between curriculum and all relevant college commercial teams to enhance student experience. The most of this position will be made up of Management and Leadership responsibilities but there could be some teaching hours included dependent on cover arrangement and requirement. 

    The Person;
    We are therefore seeking individuals from a Land based background with extensive experience delivering within this field of study. This person will have leadership experience within an education setting and be able to provide inspirationsl leadership and management of the curriculum areas, as well as provide direct support and leadership within the area. Experience with the planning and development of curriculum will be expected and the ideal candidate will be confident with contributing to the creation and maintenance of courses and curriculum areas. 

    Have you got what it takes?

  • Experience Lecturing/ Assessing/ Training within Further Education Land based/ Equine Courses 
  • Experience with the development of curriculum 
  • Experience with quality assurance and Improvement of curriculum areas 
  • Leadership and Management experience within an educational capacity 
  • A full teaching qualification and a Degree level qualification
