About Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR):
Launched on 1 July 2023, PWR manages the commercial aspects of the Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby and the Allianz Cup. Established to deliver a ten-year strategy, PWR aims to elevate women's rugby in England through a nine-team league in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU). Our mission is to inspire a new generation of players and fans with world-class club competition.

Role Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Marketing will spearhead audience growth for Premiership Women’s Rugby. This role involves developing marketing campaigns, managing digital content, and collaborating with a range of key stakeholders to drive fan engagement and visibility for the league, its clubs and players. This is a pivotal moment for the sport ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England in 2025. We are looking for a candidate who is excited by the opportunity to create genuine change.
The role will have one direct report within the business but would also be responsible for managing external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Audience Growth:
oDrive the increase of followers and interactions with PWR.
oDevelop and implement innovative strategies for fan data capture and build a comprehensive first-party database.
oWork with third parties to manage and develop the PWR technology stack.
oSet KPIs for achieving substantial audience growth.

2.Strategy Development:
oCraft and execute a marketing strategy promoting the league, teams, and players, with a focus on data capture.
oWork with England Rugby and Rugby World Cup 2025 to leverage every opportunity to enhance club audience engagement. Take advantage of a ‘generational moment’ to grow the sport.
oAlign marketing efforts with the RFU and the Red Roses to boost the club game’s profile, aligning it closely to the success of the Red Roses.
oWork with Premiership Rugby to manage a joint marketing calendar which supports both Leagues’ seasons
oIdentify and prioritise clearly defined target audiences. Create tailored marketing campaigns to increase visibility, reach and engagement. Attract and retain interest across diverse segments

3.Content and Campaign Management:
oOversee the creation of relevant and compelling content for digital platforms, ensuring brand consistency.
oManage multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, and offline platforms.
oWork with the digital executive to grow our social media presence across key platforms.
oOptimize campaign strategies based on audience behaviour and market trends.

4.Media Partnerships and Sponsorships:
oEstablish partnerships with media, influencers, and women's sports organisations.
oManage relationships with commercial partners and sponsors to maximize collaborative efforts.

5.Event Marketing:
oDevelop marketing strategies for the SuperPWR weekend and the PWR Final to maximise attendance and fan experience.
oCoordinate with clubs, players, and the host venue to deliver seamless promotion and a fan-centric experience.

6.Market Research and Analysis:
oWork with the RFU and research agencies to conduct market research to identify audience trends, perceptions and competitive insights.
oUtilise insights to refine marketing strategies and define target audiences.

7.Budget Management:
oOversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficiency and maximising ROI.
oNegotiate with suppliers to drive the most effective deals for the business
oTrack and regularly report on budget performance.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
•7+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports.
•Expertise in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Proven ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies driving audience growth.
•Experience of Stakeholder management inc C-Suite, Board members and agencies.
•Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
•Passion for women's sports and commitment to gender equality.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

•Competitive salary based on experience
•Flexible working, ideally two days a week, in the company’s offices in Victoria (hours/days to be agreed)
