Head of department: media and film – The role:
Start: September 2024
Permanent contract
Full-time
Provide support for colleagues on classroom management issues and liaise with tutors and pupil staff support as appropriate
To act as line manager for the 2i/c (where relevant), teaching and other staff within the Department
The role will involve marking coursework and lesson planning
Supporting students’ University applications and overseeing personal statements
Overseeing the delivery of the following courses: advanced level 3 a-level film studies on the WJEC awarding body, and a-level media studies on the eduqas specification.
Candidate specification – What the college are looking for:
UK QTS
2:1 or 1st class degree, in a relevant course
A minimum of 3 Years experience as a qualified lecturer
Strong academic background
Good to Outstanding teacher observation grades
Strong classroom management
