What are we looking for?

About you

The position will require of a person with a combination of:

+15 years of experience in the asset management sector and knowledge of decarbonization and sustainability.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar.

Strong business model development and team management skills. The team will include multiple functions, including investing, research and investment thesis development and investor relations management.

Team player with strong values aligned with BBVA´s.

Fluency in written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus.

Overview

About the role

The person selected will be the Head of Decarbonization equity investments in CIB. This will be a newly created unit within CIB and will lever on the current investments in funds already made over the past 2 years.

The person selected will head a team of [8] people and will be responsible of the selection, investment and monitoring of our portfolio of decarbonization funds. Additionally, he will lead initiatives within this newly created unit including the ongoing effort to raise a Decarbonization Fund of Funds.

The asset class to invest in will be funds, ranging from venture capital to private equity and infrastructure. Direct investment is something not contemplated at this stage of the project.
