Role overview

As the Head of Business Development and Marketing you will be responsible for defining, driving and executing Ipsos Karian and Box’s business growth and marketing strategy to achieve commercial success in line with the aspirations of our UK 5 year strategy.

This role will drive new client acquisition through new business activity whilst expanding and building mutually beneficial commercial relationships with third party technology platforms. You will be accountable for leveraging opportunities to driving business growth and increase awareness of Ipsos Karian Box’s product offering across Ipsos in the UK. 

This role can be offered on a remote basis or hybrid working to be based in London, York or Manchester! 

What will I be doing? 

  • Driving new client acquisition through external business development activity, effective commercial relationships with external partners and strong collaboration across Ipsos.
  • Developing and delivering an effective marketing strategy and plan to build greater brand awareness of Ipsos Karian and Box.
  • Leading and developing a small business development and marketing team.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive business development and marketing strategy aligned with the organisation’s 5 year growth strategy, vision and goals.
  • Developing and driving an effective lead generation approach to build a strong pipeline of qualified leads. 
  • Ownership of the full RFP process for new clients as well as proposal development for new client opportunities with input from SMEs across the business.
  • Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with the sales and leadership teams with a network of commercial partners.
  • Driving new business opportunities through strong collaboration and networking with Ipsos key account leads to broaden the Ipsos Karian and Box client base.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of an effective marketing plan including social media campaigns, email marketing and targeted events to increase engagement and visibility of brand, growing awareness both in the UK and Internationally.
     
  • What do I need to bring with me?

  • Proven experience of leading a successful Business Development and Marketing function in a relevant sector/industry (employee research/employee experience)
  • New business development experience 
  • Understanding of and proficiency in marketing methods that increase brand engagement
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Exceptional proposal development and storytelling skills
  • Strong pitching and presentation skills
  • Financial acumen and strong commercial intellect
