Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Salary: £75 to £100 per day

GSL Education is seeking to employ an exceptional candidate willing to work as Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary) across client schools located in Sunderland for the upcoming term of September 2024.
As a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you will be instrumental in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students from Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key stage 4 (KS4). Your empathy, patience, and dedication will help these young learners thrive both academically and personally.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), your responsibilities include:
- Working alongside teacher to ensure an appropriate environment for learning.
- Providing individual support to students identified as requiring additional learning assistance.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective support strategies.
- Monitoring and reporting on students' progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
- Fostering a safe and nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), the essential requirements include:
- A degree in any field; education-related degrees preferred.
- Previous experience working with secondary children is appreciated.
- Creativity and adaptability to design and implement effective support strategies.
- Effective communication skills and enthusiasm for educational success.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
