We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Trainee to join our team and develop a comprehensive understanding of our business operations, with a focus on Customer Service and Administration. This programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your future career.

As a participant in this comprehensive program, you will have the opportunity to rotate across various Business Units (BUs) within your division. This rotation is designed to maximize your exposure to a diverse array of projects, enhancing your understanding of our operations and strategic objectives.

In addition to the inter-divisional rotations, you will also spend time within our Group Central Function. This segment of the program allows you to collaborate closely with senior team members, gaining invaluable insights and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Furthermore, you will be enrolled in our tailored development scheme. This scheme is not just about honing your skills in your chosen field of expertise; it’s about fostering holistic professional growth. You’ll engage in activities that develop your leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, ensuring you emerge as a well-rounded professional equipped to tackle the challenges of your role.

This multifaceted approach ensures that by the end of the program, you will have a robust understanding of our company’s inner workings and be well-prepared to contribute significantly to the success of Taylor Wimpey.

Please not this role will involve rotating around both our West and East Scotland Business Units.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Trainee, you will embark on a structured and immersive programme, spending time across various functions within our Customer Service department. You will be supported by a dedicated Mentor and will gain hands-on experience through a roll-out programme designed to provide you with a broad view of our business and the administrative tasks involved. Your journey will include:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of all Customer Service systems and processes within the department.
  • Learn all aspects of NHBC (National House Building Council) processes and requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in customer service.
  • Shadow experienced professionals, including Customer Support Coordinators, Customer Relations Managers, and Customer Support Managers, to learn best practices and day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Participate in a structured departmental rotation to gain a broad understanding of the wider business operations.
  • Throughout the programme, your progress will be closely monitored through regular reviews with your Line Manager, and formal appraisals will be conducted every six months to ensure you are on track and meeting your development goals.

    Development Path:

    Our two-year programme is meticulously designed to provide you with a solid foundation in Customer Service and Administration. The rotation will be completed by the end of the second year, allowing you to:

  • Implement and apply the skills and knowledge gained during your training.
  • Develop a strategic understanding of how Customer Service integrates with the broader business functions.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the team's success by the end of the programme.
  • What you will need

    We are looking for motivated and ambitious graduates who meet the following criteria:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude and a keen willingness to learn.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK Drivers license
