Amazon's Risk and Compliance Solutions is in search of a governance and administrative professional to provide our support for our regulated financial services entities across UK, South Africa, and LATAM. Based in London, the successful candidate will join a dynamic, high-performing team of governance experts, collaborating closely with Senior Management members to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
Core Duties
-Assist the Global Head of Governance in delivering top-tier governance services, offering support on a broad range of matters to support the Entities' Committees in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, meeting compliance obligations, and achieving objectives.
-Manage the entire lifecycle of Committee meetings, encompassing scheduling, coordination, input review, agenda creation, and efficient management of minute-taking and action items.
-Lead the development and enhancement of governance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and business needs
-Conduct regular reviews of existing governance policies, terms of reference, proposing updates to address emerging regulatory changes and organizational needs.
-Coordinate induction and training programs
-Drive initiatives to streamline and enhance governance processes, fostering transparency and accountability within the organization.
- Collaborate closely with Shared Services teams to provide comprehensive support for internal meetings, including Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) sessions, and offsite planning. This involves assisting in coordinating logistics, preparing meeting materials, and ensuring seamless execution of events.
About the team
RCS Global Governance Function is responsible for supporting licensed legal entities across all regions, with focus of ensuring, inter-alia, the following:
1) Entities are operating according to high corporate governance standards, and in line with the governance regulatory requirements imposed by their respective jurisdictions;
2) The Boards of Directors as governing bodies of these Entities, have well-defined and documented roles and responsibilities, and are providing effective oversight and direction for these entities;
3) Adequate governance and secretarial support are provided to Boards and Committees and is standardized across all Entities.
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
