Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global external communications strategy and plan, providing metrics to demonstrate effectiveness.
  • Oversee global media and social media strategies to maintain the firm's corporate reputation, evolve brand perception, and support business development strategies for various sectors, practices, and regions.
  • Manage a global PR and social media team, as well as oversee relationships with PR agencies.
  • Engage with the firm's senior leadership to build their external profiles through media and other communication channels, offering issues management support and counsel.
  • Advise on the firm's brand and reputation broadly, with responsibility for social media oversight and the expectation that they will provide ideas for other profile raising opportunities.
  • Influence the firm's thought leadership strategy, collaborating with senior stakeholders and the Senior Marketing Manager to create impactful integrated campaigns.
  • Establish strong relationships with global stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive approach to PR and external communications, and provide coaching and media training as needed.
  • Act as a champion and ambassador for the communications, marketing, and business development team, setting an example for junior team members.
  • Support various aspects of communications, including internal communications, digital projects, partnership events, and more.
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Establish strong relationships with global stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive approach to PR and external communications, and provide coaching and media training as needed.
  • Proven PR/external communications expertise, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • A keen interest in global business, current affairs, media, and corporate storytelling.
  • A history of securing strong media coverage in business sector and national/international press.
  • Experience in creating, implementing, and managing integrated thought leadership, media, and social media campaigns.
  • Familiarity with working in a global communications setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to advise and influence senior decision-makers and key partners.
  • Proficiency in crisis and reactive communications.
  • Strong command of MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to write clearly and convey key messages effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills to manage direct reports and influence others within a matrix structure.
  • Understanding of the firm's core sectors and the ability to develop global profile-raising plans.
  • Coaching skills for media interactions and digital profile raising best practices.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with the drive to advance initiatives and motivate team members.
