We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Basingstoke on either on a full time or part time (30 hours per week) basis. Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate must be able to do sleep ins. We can be flexible with the number of hours offered and will consider applications from all interested candidates. About the Service Our Service is a 24/7 Registered Service and aims to support the people we support to lead the lifestyles they choose in a safe environment. We currently support five people - two gentlemen and three ladies. They all get on very well and enjoy each other's company whilst at the same time respecting each others own space. They go out together and individually with staff support for activities such as art and craft, coffee mornings, cinema, meals out and days out. One of the ladies supported enjoys her own space, watching TV, relaxing in her bedroom, meals out and going shopping. She loves having a good chat with her Support Workers about all the places she has visited and places she has travelled with her family. . The gentlemen all enjoy getting out and about which can include farm visits, going to the cinema, meals out, events, dancing classes and shopping.What does a Support Worker do?
As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality.
