About the Role:

Academics is seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Tech Teacher to join a vibrant Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Chesterfield. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students who require alternative educational provisions. The position is full-time with the potential for a permanent contract upon successful completion of the initial temporary term.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of students in a PRU setting.
* Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans.
* Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge in food technology.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Food Technology, ideally within a PRU or similar setting.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with varied needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to making a positive difference in students' lives.
