Your new role
The job of the Financial Controller will report directly in to the Managing Director of the business. The job will have responsibility for thepanies' financial and accounting operations by ensuring there are set controls, financial strategies and measures in place to maintain and improve the financials of the business. Duties for the position will involve:
Management and control of the group's accounting facilities
Preparation and analysis of monthly/ quarterly and annual accounts
Consolidation of management accounts and financial reports
Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded, filed and reported accurately
Check for any discrepancies in the financial data
Variance analysis
Production of annual budgets and forecasts
Rmendation of cost reduction strategies
Adhoc visits to overseas offices as and when required
Preparation and management of group year-end audits
Ensuringpliance with all financial regulations
Preparing detailed financial analysis and providing advice to the senior management team
Monitoringpany cash flow
Providing financial analysis and guidance to managers on their departments' performance
Supervision of 3 accounts staff
Management of foreign exchange
Discussing financial controls with department managers
Improving financial performance
Implementing cost control procedures
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would be a qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA accountant.
They will demonstrate experience of working in a senior accounts role and of managing staff. They will have strong IT andmunication skills as well as have hands-on experience of budgeting and risk management. They will also befortable working in a No1 in finance role.
