Hays Senior Finance has been retained by a large private client looking to recruit a proven Financial Controller / Financial Director. As No1 in finance, you will take ownership of all accounting matters for multiple tradingpanies. Thesepanies collectively own a £200m mixed property portfolio which has been established and growing for many decades. The whole portfolio has minimal debt and generates significant ie which is used to expand the property holdings and provide a return for the shareholders.
Duties to include -
Maintaining day to day accounts, including periodic trial balances for eachpany and the Holdingpany.
Arranging and coordinating audits for allpanies.
Preparing draft annual accounts for approval.
Preparing and submitting final audited accounts topanies House.
Keeping proper Corporation Tax records, and making Corporation Tax payments to HMRC (quarterly where necessary).
Maintaining VAT records for allpanies.
Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns, and making payments to HMRC.
Filing Confirmation Statements withpanies House for allpanies.
Maintaining multiple client accounts, client bank accounts in accordance with RICS and Accountancy regulations, and in accordance with banking facilities.
Preparing cash flows and periodic budgets.
Maintaining balances on the client management account between bank ie/expenditure, and the property management system.
Maintain statutory books for retained clientpanies to include the share register in order that annual dividends are paid correctly.
Make payments of dividends to the shareholders of each retained clientpany.
We are keen to speak to qualified accountants who can demonstrate experience in handling accounts for multiple entities, this could be in Practice or Industry. This is a hands-on role so you must be willing to produce management accounts and get into the detail on a daily basis. The role will be office based in Chester and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
