About Our Client
You will be working for a well known NHS trust based in South West London.
Job Description
The key duties of the role are as followed:
Prepare monthly financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
Complete VAT returns and year-end statutory accounts.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain the financial ledger and account reconciliations.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Support the month-end and year-end close process.
Manage financial audit processes.
Participate in continuous improvement of the accounting process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
Previous NHS experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong numerical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
