Our client are seeking a Finance andProcurement Coordinator to provide subject matter expert supportfor business purchasing activities managed within the Finance andProcurement functions.

The focus is very much onvendor governance & compliance, carrying out due diligencechecks as part of vendor pre-qualification, ensuring good processgovernance and supporting the business to manage it's own buyingactivity by acting as an SME for the Purchase Order process,delivering user training where needed,

Thesuccessful candidate will play a critical role in ensuringadherence to procurement practices, financial controls &governance guidance, whilst fostering stakeholder &supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall success ofthe organization.

This role offers a uniqueopportunity to drive vendor governance initiatives within a dynamictelecommunications company, contributing to operational excellenceand regulatory compliance.

  • Offeringguidance and support to PO requestors, ensuring accuracy of codingand details on all purchase orders and that orders are raisedagainst and within the relevantbudget.
  • Providing training to new users for POrequests and co-ordinating purchase order requests placed byvarious departments, including maintaining & sharingapproved supplier listings.
  • Actively engagingwith and managing stakeholders to ensure best practice processesare followed.
  • Acting as subject matter expertfor all purchase order processes and communicating policy andprocess update changes as they occur.
  • Ensuringthat for large purchases or where commercial contracts are inplace, requests are reviewed by procurement to leverage bestpossible discounts, encouraging 'intelligentbuying'.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally withbusiness stakeholders from all departments to ensure alignment withcompany policies, guidelines andstandards.
  • Checking purchase orders follow therelevant workflows in accordance with company approval andauthorisation policies and the delegation of approvalmatrix.
  • Managing PO workflow settings to ensurethey accurately reflect the current business structure, includingupdates to delegations and personnel changes as theyoccur.
  • Raising workflow or technical querieswhere appropriate and ensuring resolutions areapplied.
  • Providing purchase analysis reportsfor supplier spend and order KPI's.
  • Co-ordinatewith Procurement Team on vendor set-up and supplier master datamanagement
  • Support best practice processes forvendor due diligence and governance in accordance with OFCOMregulations, the Telecommunications Security Act and other relevantlegislation.
  • Provide support for the adoptionof Gatekeeper on-boarding portal for streamlined vendor andcontract management processes.
  • Support acomprehensive review and rationalization of the supplier base tooptimize operational efficiency andcost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to thedevelopment of a high-performing finance team, fostering a cultureof open collaboration, communication, resilience, and serviceexcellence.
