The post of Senior Facilities Supervisor is a critical role in the Infrastructure Services Directorate, providing a frontline customer facing service across an estate which is circa ,m consisting of buildings with an annual operational turnover of £m.
It is an exciting time for the team as we drive improvements in compliance, efficiency, customer service and performance as well as creating the opportunity to gain competitive advantages through our activity- underpinned by a significant investment in the Estate in conjunction with a full modernisation programme across the team's systems and processes.
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Facilities Supervisor will be part of a team delivering basic service provision. The postholder will be familiar with and understand effective working procedures across a range of cleaning activities and administration duties.
Specifically, the Postholder will:
- lead the team of Cleaning staff to ensure all University Buildings maintain the correct standards of cleanliness
- Support efficiency of service
- Ensure adherance to Health & Safety guidelines
- Audit the cleaning of University Buildings
- Produce/Provide documentary evidence relevant to the post.
Exemplary team working is critical to this role as is the ability to communicate with a wide range of staff, students and stakeholders. Working hours over a day working week. A flexible approach is required.
