Role Overview:
As an Early Years Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children in their formative years. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Provide one-on-one and group support to children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and help them integrate into the classroom.
Assist with the assessment and monitoring of children’s progress.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their child’s development.
Contribute to the school’s ethos and objectives by participating in school activities and events.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is desirable.
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo DBS checks).
