An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within the Widening Access, Equality and Careers (WAEC) Team to appoint to a Widening Access, Equality, Careers and Organisational Development (WAEC & OD) Facilitator post. This post will play a key role in supporting the delivery our People Strategy, the Health Board’s vision for a high-quality organisation and the embedding of our ‘One Bay Way’. In particular, the post holders will use their specialist knowledge to identify, plan, design, deliver and evaluate the Widening Access, Equality & Career Development Programmes and Bespoke Organisational Development activities to meet organisational objectives and workforce requirements under the direction of the Head of Widening Access, Equality and Careers. The core programmes in the portfolio include, but not limited to; cultural conversations, workforce equality related activity, coaching, mentoring, personal development programmes (Optimise and Optimise Advanced).

Main duties of the job

You will be an exceptional and experienced facilitator and OD practitioner, working across all areas of the Health Board and in partnership with Service Group Leads and HR Business Partners for the commissioning of bespoke WAEC & OD Consultancy work. You will also work in partnership with the Education & Learning and Culture, OD & Staff Experience Teams and wider Workforce colleagues to deliver organisational development priorities. You will be able to demonstrate experience of compassionate leadership, personal values, facilitating and using a wide range of OD and specialist tools and techniques and have a detailed understanding of widening access, equality, leadership, culture and behaviour improvement research theory and practice.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Educated to Masters Degree level or equivalent professional experience
  • Sound knowledge of OD and techniques of delivery, assessment, and evaluation
  • Accredited or experienced Coach
  • Desirable criteria

  • Organisational Development Practitioner
  • Psychometrics Practitioner i.e. MBTI
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Experience of Managing Change and Organisational Development within complex working environments
  • Experience of delivering Learning & Development interventions to achieve cultural change
  • Experience of delivering a wide range of OD programmes but specifically leadership development programmes at senior management level, experience of leading on the implementation of projects
  • Evidence of return from investment of personal development programmes, interventions, and practices
  • Aptitude & Abilities

    Essential criteria

  • Adhere to and can demonstrate SBU Values & Behaviours
  • Strong analytical skills dealing with complex issues, ability to plan and prioritise and concentrate frequently when under pressure and subject to interruptions
