About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team. Planning and executing events such as conferences, weddings, meetings, social gatherings, family fun days and craft fairs. You will work operationally at these events as required, working alongside and overseeing a team of hospitality staff.

The role will oversee events including set up & delivery, co-ordinating catering requirements and logistics such as AV equipment and signage. Ensuring the correct staff resources are secured and the relevant staff training is in place. Ensuring post event evaluation to assess the success of the event and gather feedback for future improvements.

There will be a requirement to ensure the day to day running of the business is maintained to a high standard including the serving of catering packages.

The site also caters for educational residential visits to the Activity Centre, you will be involved with the service of catering packages for these visits .

You will also support the Event and Sales Operations Manager in responding to client queries & cover the busy reception desk as required along with assisting in meeting and greeting all visitors to the hall. 

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

  • Event co-ordination experience 
  • Proven supervisory skills 
  • Experience in the hospitality industry including bar experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working
  • You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
