Are you an experienced Environmental Manager seeking a new and exciting opportunity? We are currently working with a leading organization in the construction industry, looking to fill the position of Environmental Manager. The preferred candidate will be situated in the northern region, covering various areas, including but not limited to Wigan, Castleford and Salford.
The Environmental Manager will be responsible for:
Providing strategic direction, management, and leadership on matters related to Environmental and Ecology, encompassing licensing and consent, operational delivery, and audit.
Leading the production and utilization of Environmental Management Plans and Risk Assessments.
Overseeing project performance by conducting management meetings, audits, site visits, and implementing specific interventions as necessary.
Championing best environmental practices, ensuring adherence to legislation, and promoting innovation.
The Environmental Manager will have:
A degree or its equivalent in a relevant field.
Membership at a professional level with IEMA or an equivalent organization.
Demonstrated experience in managing Environmental/Ecology aspects within a comparable construction environment.
Sound knowledge and practical experience in the maintenance, implementation, and enhancement of Environmental Management Systems certified to ISO 14001.
