Job Type: Contract, Full-Time
Salary: £150 - £230 Per day ***TEACHING PERSONNEL PAY TO SCALE***
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to work in one of our amazing partner schools within the Solihull area. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons up to A Level standard. You will need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a BA (Hons) in English Language or Literature and previous experience in a similar role.
Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English department
- Create an inclusive and positive learning environment for pupils
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- PGCE
- BA (Hons) in English Language or Literature
- Ability to teach English up to A Level standard
Experience:
- Previous experience teaching within a secondary school
- Proven track record within a secondary school
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
- Understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures
- Confident and positive classroom presence
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in education or English
- Experience teaching up to A Level standard
