Engineering Technicians - L/Derry - The LYCRA Company Ltd 
The LYCRA Company produces exceptional fibre and technology solutions for the global apparel and hygiene industries.
Due to continued success, they have full time opportunities for Engineering Technicians to join their manufacturing team.
Employee Benefits:
  • 42 hour working week
  • Monday – Thursday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm and Friday 8.30 am – 3.30 pm

    • Your role would be to troubleshoot and maintain process measurement and control equipment. Duties will include: 
  • Electrical distribution and control equipment.
  • Motor control circuits including direct online and variable speed.
  • PLC and relay control panels.
  • Level, flow, pressure, temperature, position etc measurement and control devices.
  • Electronic Control Systems.
  • Calibration and testing of process instruments, including Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Mechanical principles of rotating equipment.
    • Criteria:
  • Have completed a Modern Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience of working in a multifunctional role involving Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance.
  • Ability to carry out troubleshooting on equipment and systems.
  • Good knowledge of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Available to respond to business needs, including providing call-out support.
  • Established good housekeeping standards, before, during and after any operational/maintenance activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience of interpreting technical documentation.
