Business Unit: Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies is at the forefront of major international projects where we bring a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and also across Construction and Installation activities, predominately in relation to offshore wind, interconnectors and subsea cable projects, and associated infrastructure.

Role: Sitting within the Evolv Energies Project Delivery Team, the Engineering Manager – Projects will report to the Head of Projects and provide engineering leadership to our projects team, whilst ensuring that we are a recognised and reliable supplier of engineering services. The role will be accountable for ensuring delivery of optimum (and where applicable, innovative) engineering solutions, that enable cost effective and efficient project delivery for our Clients from tender through to delivery. The role will also support the continuous improvement of the systems and processes needed to enable project delivery.

Requirements

Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:

  • Leading project engineering deliverables and people from our multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Lead and provide engineering input into tenders and project deliverables.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as TA’s, SME’s and other Engineering Managers.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with both Evolv Energies and Client engineering requirements.
  • Ensuring necessary engineering and technical resources are assigned to projects throughout tendering and delivery.
  • Providing engineering mentoring and leadership to our multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Managing interfaces across all disciplines within and outside of engineering.
  • Ensuring the engineering schedule is maintained throughout projects.
  • Ensuring construction and installation experience and knowledge is considered throughout our projects.

 

Role Requirements include:

  • A hands on approach, with a can do attitude and willingness work with a team at all levels.
  • A Chartered Engineer with demonstrable offshore engineering management expertise in the offshore renewables sector and detailed understanding of engineering projects through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of multi-disciplined individuals, setting clear goals and objectives.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation and to key stakeholders out with the organisation.
  • Strong engineering and operational knowledge in Marine / Offshore projects and operations associated with offshore wind and ideally subsea cable projects.
  • An ability to interpret and manage multiple project requirements simultaneously
