 Electrical Project Shift Engineer – Continental Shift – Commercial Bank – Liverpool Street, London –  £45,000 - £50,000

My client is looking for four project shift engineers electrically bias to be based in a commercial bank in Liverpool Street, London. The successful candidates will be Electrically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial project works . Working with the Project team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical or mechanical installation work to the following. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000, further training and career progression.

Hours of work

Continental Shift - 4 nights, 4off, 3 days, 3 nights, 6off, 4 days - 07:00am - 19:00pm / 19:00am - 07:00am


Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Approve Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs) and ensure contractor compliance.
  • Issue permits and conduct health and safety assessments for project activities.
  • Monitor contractors to ensure adherence to SSoWs and safety standards.
  • Inspect and approve completed works for quality and compliance.
  • Escort contractors and ensure compliance with site safety protocols.
  • Assess risk assessments and provide appropriate permits for safe execution.
  • Execute electrical isolation procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Oversee the replacement of fan coil units, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Supervise the removal and installation of chillers, ensuring safe handling and functionality.
  • Lead pipework modifications to enhance system performance and compliance.
  • Manage the replacement of electrical boards, ensuring reliable power distribution.
  • Plan and install valves, adhering to engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Oversee BMS upgrades, integrating new systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Supervise pump panel installations, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates.
  • Work with internal teams and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Ensure projects comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Monitor project quality and address issues promptly.
  • Manage project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
 
Requirements
  • Electrically qualified level 3 (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • 18th edition if electrically biased
  • 2391 highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, generators, UPS, and electrical distribution.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Competence in using project management software and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with external contractors.
  • Must be able to get to the site for 07:00 am start
