We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical BMS Commissioning Project Manager to join our team on a contract/freelance basis for a 6 Month project in the West Midlands.
Role Overview:
The Electrical BMS Commissioning Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning and integration of various building management systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, a strong understanding of BMS design, and expertise in commercial installation of first fix and second fix.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the project team, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure the successful completion of the commissioning project.
- Develop comprehensive commissioning plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project teams.
- Oversee commercial installation activities, including first fix and second fix, in coordination with project requirements.
- Coordinate commissioning activities, including hardware and software integration, calibration, and testing.
- Resolve technical issues related to commissioning, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Demonstrate an understanding of BMS design principles and collaborate with design teams as necessary.
- Document commissioning procedures, findings, and recommendations for system enhancements.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and share insights to enhance commissioning processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in commissioning or a related field.
- Strong expertise in commissioning technologies such as Delta, Trend, Cylon, ABB, or Tridium.
- Familiarity with building management systems, HVAC systems, and controls.
- Experience in commercial installation of first fix and second fix.
- Possession of either an ECS card or a CSCS card is mandatory.
- Full UK driver's license is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
