Nursery: Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: Starting from £27,231.95 per annum (Full-time equivalent - Pro-rata) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Richmond, London

We are looking for a part time, Level 2/3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Richmond Nursery, situated close to Richmond town centre, conveniently located close to North Sheen and Richmond train stations and Richmond tube, as well as onsite parking. This role is for 25 hours, working 1pm-6pm Mon-Fri.

Our Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool is Ofsted rated 'Good' and the nursery is purpose built, offering four well-resourced rooms and a fantastic spacious outdoor space for children aged 3 months to 5 years, all of which have been completely renovated before reopening in May 2022.

    What you’ll be doing

  • Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
  • Observing, tracking and reflecting on learning
  • Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis
  • What we’re looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
