Early Years Assessor - Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Cornwall
Salary: £29,400 - £33,600
Travel Requirements: Regular travel to learners' workplaces in nurseries and schools across the Cornwall area. Remote work when not traveling.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Assessor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of early years professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and support learners in the following apprenticeships: Early Years Practitioner (Level 2), Playworker (Level 2), Early Years Educator (Level 2), Teaching Assistant (Level 3), and Early Years Lead Practitioner.
- Manage a caseload of 35 learners and 45 after probation has been passed.
- Provide both remote and on-site support to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
- Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify gaps.
- Develop and implement individualized training plans.
- Maintain candidate records and perform workplace observations.
- Deliver high-quality training, including functional skills, to meet awarding body standards.
- Assess skills and behaviours, providing feedback via the ePortfolio system.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- An Assessor’s qualification.
- A qualification in Early Years.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
- Access to a car for travel.
Additional Opportunities:
- Nursery Managers / Early Years Teachers interested in transitioning into an assessors role are encouraged to apply. Our client is offering training to achieve the Assessor’s qualification while on the job.
- All Nursery Managers / Teachers who would like to apply must have at least a Level 5 in Early Years and at least a years expereicne being a Nursery Manager
