Bedales School is a unique educational establishment, set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. We are looking for new members with excellent cleaning skills to join our highly dedicated Domestic Cleaning Team delivering outstanding cleaning services for our staff and pupils in and around the school.
Experience & Background
The successful candidate will need to be a reliable and capable individual, who can use their own initiative, as well as work as part of a team. Experience of cleaning in a commercial environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training and support will be given.
Duties
Cleaning activities include cobwebbing, disinfecting, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and emptying bins, as well as undertaking closing duties of the building if required. Your duties will involve cleaning up spills that may include body fluids in bathroom areas. Cleaning duties may vary between terms and closure periods. Hours of Work
This post works all year round both during when the school is open and pupils are present and during school holiday and closure periods and you will be required to work 10 hours each week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 19:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs of 2 hours per evening.
In addition, the post will be required to work a minimum of one in four Saturdays from 07:00am to 11:00am.
Salary
£10.62 per hour, Annual salary for 10 hours per week is £6,045 based on the above hours and weeks of work which is pro-rata of the full-time equivalent salary of £20,725 per annum.
